Our client, an international organisation, are currently looking to recruit an Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join their team on a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role is based in Dublin 24 and offers hybrid working.




Key Responsibilities



Preparation of monthly management accounts, including but not limited to:

• Preparation and posting of journals


• Preparing accruals, prepayments and deferrals


• Maintenance of fixed asset register and lease schedule


• Reconciliation of intercompany accounts


• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts


• Submitting finalised accounts to Group

Management of links between operation and finance system, including but not limited to:

• Daily review and upload of transactions to finance system


• Addressing processing queries that arise from upload

Assisting with analytics and operational reporting, including but not limited to:

• Preparation of monthly sales and product analysis


• Ad hoc project analysis as required


• Assisting with preparation of operational reports

Management of banks and cashpool accounts, including but not limited to:

• Processing bank and cashpool transactions


• Weekly bank reconciliations


• Assisting with weekly cashflows

Assisting with monthly payroll process, including but not limited to:

• Reconciling and posting payroll journal


• Submitting monthly and yearly payroll returns to Revenue

Other ad hoc duties as required, including but not limited to:

• Preparation of Revenue VAT returns for ROI and NI


• Monitoring of RCT and CIS process and submitting of Revenue returns


• Assisting with year end external audits

Suitable candidates

• 3+ years general accounting experience


• Strong excel skills

This role will offer hybrid working 2 days from home once up to speed.
