Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position
- Qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or Chartered Tax Consultant (CTC) with a strong technical foundation in corporate tax compliance.
- Proven track record of delivering service excellence and managing a growing team of tax professionals.
- Strong project management, organisational, and analytical skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with clients on complex tax law changes and collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders.
Success in the Role
- Lead the review and quality assurance of complex corporate tax returns, tax provisioning, and reporting for a broad client portfolio.
- Build trusted client relationships by advising on key tax law changes and their impact on tax liabilities and reporting obligations.
- Support and contribute to the strategic advancement of the Corporate Tax Compliance Team, including tax technology deployment, process transformation projects and support the strategic evolution of the Global Delivery Service Model.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting their career progression.
What type of work will I be doing?
- Reviewing and managing corporate tax compliance deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Client engagement, including meetings to discuss tax developments and compliance matters.
- Focus on strategic initiatives such as tax technology implementation, process improvement, and transformation projects.
- Team leadership activities, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management of junior staff.
