Assistant Accountant

Our client, a Semi State Organisation based in Wicklow, is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

Reporting to Finance Manager role will involve:

Monthly Management
Accounts

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and key metrics reporting for the senior management team

Preparation of month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations

Calculation and monitoring of accruals & prepaid expenses

Preparation of monthly expense reports and monitoring of financial transactions

Preparation of audit files for the interim and annual audit, responding promptly to queries raised by auditors

Financial Planning & Analysis

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

Develop relationships and partner with agreed business areas

Support the analysis & investment appraisal of capital projects

Systems & Processes

Responsibility for maintaining the Agresso accounting system

Actively drive process improvement and simplification in the Finance area, through participation in initiatives & projects.

Responsibility for maintaining the Fixed Asset Register

Preparation of the VAT returns

People/Team

Engage effectively with team members to develop a high-performance culture, in line with the Group's values

Provide additional support to the Finance team and Division on other tasks/projects as required
