In this highly visible client-facing role, you will manage strategic relationships with some of Japan's most influential financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, securities firms, and asset management companies. Leveraging a global banking platform, you will deliver tailored solutions across Capital Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance, Foreign Exchange, and Risk Management while driving new business growth and deepening client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and expand relationships with banks, insurance companies, securities firms, asset managers, and other financial institutions in Japan.
• Develop and execute strategic client coverage plans to strengthen relationships and increase revenue opportunities.
• Originate new business across financing, capital markets, transaction banking, foreign exchange, and risk management solutions.
• Partner with product specialists and international banking teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Engage with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders to identify strategic business opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and client activity to proactively identify growth opportunities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Maintain a deep understanding of client needs and evolving market conditions.
• Support long-term relationship development and client retention strategies.
• Ensure effective risk management and compliance with internal governance standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Global Banking, Financial Institutions Coverage, or a related client-facing banking role.
• Proven experience covering financial institutions including banks, insurers, securities firms, and asset managers.
• Strong track record of business origination, revenue generation, and relationship management.
• Deep understanding of financing solutions, capital markets, transaction banking, foreign exchange, and risk management products.
• Experience working within international banking environments and collaborating across global teams.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial statement assessment, and client risk management.
• Experience managing senior-level client relationships within the financial services sector.
