ROLE DESCRIPTION - Intern - Test & AIT Engineering
Join our satellite engineering team and gain hands-on experience supporting the assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft hardware and electronic systems. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you will contribute to functional, environmental, and production testing while learning industry-standard aerospace processes and quality practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and execution of tests on satellite electronic assemblies, subsystems, and integrated spacecraft systems.
- Participate in spacecraft assembly, integration, validation, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Assist with test setup, instrumentation, cabling, data acquisition, and result analysis.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, functional verification, and compliance with test requirements and procedures.
- Support environmental testing campaigns, including thermal vacuum (TVAC), vibration, and thermal cycling tests.
- Help install and monitor sensors and test equipment, perform post-test inspections, and document results.
- Assist in the assembly and maintenance of test benches, test racks, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
- Support production testing activities and contribute to the improvement and automation of test processes where applicable.
- Maintain accurate test records, configurations, and hardware traceability in line with aerospace quality standards.
Profile
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in satellite systems, electronics, or space engineering.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, laboratory equipment, and testing methods.
- Familiarity with Python, electrical schematics, or test equipment is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.
