What You'll Do
- Support the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements for EMEA entities, ensuring information is accurate and delivered to agreed timelines.
- Coordinate information required for tax returns in partnership with regional finance departments and tax advisors.
- Assist with technical accounting research and analysis under IFRS and local GAAP, with mentorship from senior team members.
- Support the assessment and documentation of accounting treatments for new or unusual transactions, including preparation of accounting position papers where required.
- Support external audits coordination, including tracking requests, and responding to auditor queries.
- Follow internal control frameworks, corporate policies, and documentation standards across all assigned activities.
- Monitor updates to accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, and help assess their potential impact.
- Promote uniformity, operational improvement, and effective use of reporting tools across statutory reporting and compliance tasks.
- Support statutory reporting through the quality review of key balance sheet accounts and reconciliations, working closely with the Accounting Operations team.
- Maintain clear working papers, trackers, and supporting documentation, and communicate issues and progress promptly to relevant collaborators.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Progress toward a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, is desirable.
- Relevant experience in accounting, audit, statutory reporting, or financial reporting, ideally within a multinational organization.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and a curiosity about developing expertise in local reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting external audits or preparing financial documents and audit schedules is desirable.
- Understanding of internal controls, reconciliations, and financial governance principles.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prepare documentation and communicate effectively with a range of collaborators.
- Experience with Workiwa software is highly desirable.
