QA Test Automation Manager

Our client is a major global financial institution expanding its Testing Centre in Singapore. This role offers a technical leader the opportunity to drive automation strategy, build robust frameworks, and lead delivery for critical banking interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Define and implement the end-to-end automation test strategy aligned with project timelines. Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks covering web, mobile, API, and integration layers.
Lead the scripting, execution, and continuous maintenance of automated test cases for critical interfaces and applications. Ensure comprehensive automation coverage across functional, regression, and API layers.
Align all automation initiatives with Agile and DevOps practices, seamlessly integrating automation tools into build and release pipelines.
Act as a hands-on technical lead, mentoring a team of automation engineers across onshore, offshore, internal, and external models.
Partner closely with QA Test Leads, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and business stakeholders to report on automation coverage, progress, and ROI.

Requirements:

Financial Services Domain: Proven experience working within the banking or financial services sector is mandatory.
Deep, hands-on expertise with Playwright and Selenium frameworks.
Strong proficiency in API testing methodologies and tools.
Specific experience in API and payments testing for banking interfaces is required.
Technical Lead Experience: Minimum of 7 years in QA, with at least 3 years explicitly spent in a hands-on Automation Lead or technical management role.
Professional certifications such as ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Certified SDET, or equivalent.
