A Tier 1 Global Bank bank is creating a new Executive Director seat at the centre of its Financial Institutions credit risk function. Every FI credit approval the bank makes, for every client in every region, is decided by one team with this role based in Singapore. This role sits at the top of that team. The front line writes the papers. You make the call. Your judgement sets the bank's risk appetite towards the world's sovereigns, banks, insurers, exchanges, funds and digital asset players. Your decisions shape what the business can and cannot do. This is a rare opportunity: new headcount, a flat structure, direct access to senior management and the Board, and a portfolio that spans Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Greater China, the Middle East and Africa.

What you will own

1. Credit authority: approve or decline credit on a global FI portfolio, and stand behind every decision
2. Ratings: hold the final view on counterparty ratings and keep them consistent across the book
3. Complex transactions: work with senior coverage bankers to structure and de-risk large, complex deals
4. Portfolio leadership: track concentrations, run stress scenarios and recommend portfolio action before risks arrive
5. Board and regulatory reporting: present the portfolio's risk profile to senior management, the Board and regulators
6. Shaping the function: help set credit policy, product approvals and risk infrastructure for the platform

3. Insurers, leasing and finance companies
4. Broker dealers, exchanges and clearing houses
5. Private equity, mutual, pension and hedge funds, and asset managers
6. Digital asset market makers

Who we are looking for

You are an FI credit approver, not an analyst. You have held credit authority, used it, and been accountable for the outcome.

1. 15+ years in banking, with 10+ years approving Financial Institution credit at a major international or regional bank
2. A track record of decisive, well-reasoned credit decisions across a broad FI portfolio
3. The presence to challenge senior bankers, and the commercial sense to find a way to yes when the risk is right
4. Confident presenting to Board and regulator audiences
5. Exposure to derivatives, repo, funds or digital assets will set you apart
