Windows / Virtualisation Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Zurich
Languages: German and English
Contract duration: 12 months
Start date: around December 2026

Required Background

5-10+ years of experience in Windows Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration or Platform Support
Strong experience supporting business-critical production environments
Proven background in infrastructure operations, incident, problem and change management
Experience working within regulated enterprise environments, ideally banking, financial services, insurance or other highly controlled industries
Strong understanding of operational controls, availability, resilience and platform security
Exposure to datacentre operations, infrastructure lifecycle management and production support processes

Technical Skills

Strong experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vSphere and vCenter, including virtual server provisioning, lifecycle management and platform optimisation
Good understanding of PowerShell scripting, infrastructure monitoring, storage/SAN technologies and ITIL-based operational support processes

Nice to Have

Experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM
Automation and scripting experience
Exposure to enterprise datacentre and virtualisation environments
Experience within financial services or other regulated industries
Knowledge of high-availability, backup and disaster recovery solutions
