The Trader (Multi-Asset) role is instrumental in executing trades and managing risk across various asset classes within our client’s Hong Kong-based hedge fund. This position supports the firm’s commitment to a high-conviction global Macro and Equity Long-Short investment approach in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Role Overview
The Trader (Multi-Asset) will directly execute trades across equities, futures, and commodities in a timely and efficient manner. The role involves actively monitoring portfolio exposure and risks, managing stock borrow availability, and overseeing trading systems to ensure operational accuracy. Success in this position depends on diligent market data synthesis and the ability to proactively communicate market movements to the portfolio management team.
Key Skills & Experience
- Manage trade execution across global Equities, Futures, and Commodities
- Monitor real-time portfolio exposure, position risks, and market liquidity
- Proactively alert Portfolio Managers to significant market news and market movements
- Actively manage stock borrow availability (SBL) and foreign exchange (FX) positions
- Oversee and troubleshoot front-to-back trading systems, including OMS/PMS
- Ensure end-of-day position reconciliation and reporting
- Update and synthesize macro, country, and sector insights to support decision-making

Requirements
- Right to work in Hong Kong
- 1-2 years of buy-side trading experience
- Knowledge of global equities, futures, and commodities markets
- On-site availability in Hong Kong
