Cameron Kennedy is working on a confidential appointment for an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join a fast- growing, specialist business operating at the intersection of regulated claims management, customer acquisition and legal services. Reporting to the Compliance Director, this is a senior, hands-on leadership opportunity for a compliance professional who can provide credible independent challenge while working constructively with commercial, marketing, operational and technology teams. The role can be based remotely anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel as required.

The Role
You will lead the day-to-day compliance function, supporting the continued development of the regulatory framework and ensuring high standards of customer outcomes, governance and control. Key areas will include:
- Regulatory Compliance and Governance: Oversight of FCA-regulated claims-management activity and the wider regulatory perimeter.
- Advertising and Customer Acquisition: Owning and operating the compliance approval framework and approval and monitoring of advertising, financial promotions, lead-generation activity and customer journeys.
- Compliance Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Compliance monitoring, risk assessments, policies, regulatory change and management information.
- Consumer Duty and Customer Outcomes: Consumer Duty, complaints, incidents, remediation and root-cause analysis.
- Advisory, Risk and Escalation: Providing clear, commercially grounded advice and escalating material regulatory or customer-outcome risks appropriately.
- Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Managing a small team and stakeholders
- Leading and developing compliance monitoring and quality-assurance capability including Maintain a risk-based compliance monitoring programme addressing the company’s principal regulatory and customer-outcome risks.
- Complaints, Incidents and Remediation: Conduct complaints handling and ensure compliance with DISP, applicable Financial Ombudsman Service requirements and internal service standards.
- Regulatory Change, Policies and Training: including conducting horizon scanning across FCA, ASA, government and relevant industry developments and assessing the operational and commercial effect of regulatory change and maintain an effective regulatory change programme.

You will bring:
- A strong, current working knowledge of the FCA regulatory framework applicable to claims management, including CMCOB, Consumer Duty, SYSC, DISP, SM&CR and regulatory reporting/engagement.
- Proven expertise in compliant customer acquisition, advertising and financial promotions, including digital channels, lead generation and live-campaign oversight.
- Some knowledge of UK GDPR, PECR and data-sharing/direct-marketing requirements.
- Experience working closely with claimant law firms and an understanding of the legal-services and referral environment.
- A demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and stop or remediate activity where standards are not met.
- A hands-on, organised and delivery-focused approach, with sound judgement, discretion and strong written communication.
