Overview
A leading investment bank is looking to hire a CEEMEA Rates Trader to join its London-based Emerging Markets trading team. The role will focus on pricing, risk management, and market-making across CEEMEA rates products, with exposure to local rates, government bonds, interest rate derivatives, and cross-market relative value opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage risk and trading activities across CEEMEA rates markets.
- Trade local currency government bonds, interest rate swaps, NDF-linked rates products, and cross-currency swaps.
- Generate trading ideas and identify relative value opportunities across CEEMEA curves.
- Provide pricing and liquidity to institutional clients.
- Work closely with Sales, Research, and Structuring teams on client-driven opportunities.
- Monitor macroeconomic developments, central bank decisions, and geopolitical events across CEEMEA.
- Contribute to the growth of the franchise through risk-taking and revenue generation.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience trading EM or CEEMEA rates products.
- Strong knowledge of at least oneCEEMEA region, including:
- Central & Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania)
- Turkey
- South Africa
- Middle East rates markets
- Experience with government bonds, IRS, cross-currency swaps, and other rates products.
- Demonstrated risk management and P&L responsibility.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
