You'll be working alongside developers, architects and product teams on real platforms, tackling complex DevOps challenges and helping shape the technical direction of the infrastructure you build. This isn't a box-ticking role, they want people who challenge assumptions, drive improvements and care about quality. To hit the ground running, you'll need deep Kubernetes experience, strong hands-on CI/CD skills (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar), solid Infrastructure as Code knowledge using tools like Terraform or Helm, and the ability to write clean Python or scripting to support automation. You'll also need to be comfortable producing clear technical documentation and contributing confidently to large-scale technical discussions. Sound like you?

Key responsibilities
Build, maintain and improve infrastructure, tooling and automation across multiple platforms.
• Design and manage multi-stage CI/CD pipelines with secure, reusable automation patterns.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm or CloudFormation.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability and efficiency through observability and monitoring.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and product teams on technical decisions.
• Contribute to shift-left testing strategies and CI-driven quality gates.
• Produce clear, professional documentation for infrastructure, processes and completed work.
• Drive continuous improvement across automation, reliability and deployment practices.
Skills & experience
Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes including deployments, operators, networking and Helm.
• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar platforms.
• Solid Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform, Helm or CloudFormation.
• Working knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for automation and tooling.
• Strong understanding of DevOps best practices including secrets management, environment parity and release automation.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure platforms and modern architecture patterns.
• Ability to produce clear, maintainable technical documentation for infrastructure and processes.
• Confident communicator able to contribute to large-scale technical discussions and challenge assumptions constructively.
TThe client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
• Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux, including SRE practices like SLIs and SLOs.
• Experience with monitoring stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or ELK.
• Exposure to security automation and DevSecOps principles.
• Experience working with event-driven architectures or message brokers.
