Interim Group Accountant
We are partnering with a large, private equity-backed business to recruit an ambitious Group Accountant to join its high-performing finance function. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a fast paced, acquisitive organisation where you will play a key role in group reporting, financial consolidation, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. Working closely with senior finance leaders, you will gain broad exposure to acquisitions, business integration, technical accounting, and process improvement while helping to drive the continued success of a dynamic, PE-backed business.

- Prepare monthly group consolidations and statutory financial statements.
- Support the group reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist with acquisition accounting and the integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Prepare technical accounting papers and ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and group balance sheet reviews.
- Liaise with external auditors and support the year-end audit process.
- Drive improvements in financial controls, reporting processes, and systems.
- Support FP&A with management reporting, cash flow forecasting, and board reporting.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, tax, and the wider business.
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Strong group accounting and consolidation experience within a large or complex organisation.
- Previous experience working in a private equity-backed or acquisitive business.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS.
- Experience supporting audits and preparing statutory accounts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Systems experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar is advantageous.
- Immediately available or on a short notice period is preferred.
