Role:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a greenfield initiative within one of the world’s largest market data platforms. You’ll help build the capability to monitor, measure and understand market data performance across 40+ global data centres.
The role focuses on synthetic testing, latency measurement and large-scale data aggregation, transforming performance data into global latency views and actionable health insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build systems for globally distributed synthetic testing of market data flows.
- Develop aggregation layers to process large-scale latency data.
- Create global latency views and health dashboards.
- Analyse distributed data to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Improve monitoring, diagnostics and operational visibility.
- Contribute to the architecture and development of a new platform from the ground up.
Required Experience:
- Experience building high-performance, latency-sensitive systems at scale.
- Background in globally distributed, real-time systems or large-scale data infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Go, Rust or C++.
- Proficiency in Python, Java or TypeScript.
- Experience handling large data volumes and building scalable processing pipelines.
- Strong understanding of system performance, latency measurement and optimisation.

- Real-time streaming platforms
- Time-series data platforms
- Low-latency databases or graph systems
- High-frequency or electronic trading
- Large-scale distributed infrastructure
