Who we are looking for
State Street Global Technology Services (GTS) is seeking a skilled and proven Technology Governance and Remediation Manager, Vice President to strengthen risk, remediation, and regulatory governance across a complex technology portfolio. This role will drive consistency of execution through effective program governance, dependency management, transparent reporting, and strong accountability across multiple remediation and transformation initiatives.
The successful candidate will have experience managing regulatory commitments and engaging with regulators, auditors, and senior executives while driving complex remediation or transformation programs is highly desirable. They will possess strong program management capabilities, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and experience supporting regulatory engagements, examinations, and remediation commitments. The role requires an individual who can influence senior stakeholders, navigate complex organizational environments, and effectively communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership, governance forums, and regulatory bodies.

What you will be responsible for
- Program Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and monitoring of interconnected remediation, regulatory, and transformation initiatives to deliver strategic objectives. Drive execution, accountability, and issue resolution across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
- Governance and Reporting: Establish and maintain effective governance structures, manage cross-program dependencies, and provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting to senior management, governance committees, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Regulatory Engagement and Exam Support: Support regulatory examinations, remediation activities, and regulatory commitments by coordinating responses, tracking deliverables, preparing executive and regulatory reporting, and ensuring evidence of sustainable closure.
- Stakeholder Communications: Develop clear and concise communications for executive leadership, governance forums, and key stakeholders. Translate complex technical, risk, and regulatory matters into meaningful updates and actionable decisions.
- Risk Management: Foster a culture of risk excellence by proactively identifying, assessing, and managing risks and issues, and driving effective remediation planning and execution.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build strong working relationships with technology leaders, risk and compliance partners, business teams, auditors, regulators, and third-party providers to support successful delivery outcomes.
What we value
- Regulatory Experience: Practical experience working within a regulated financial services environment, including supporting regulatory examinations, remediation programs, supervisory engagements, and regulatory commitments.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and manage stakeholders across technology, risk, compliance, audit, business, and executive leadership functions in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Program Management Excellence: Demonstrated experience leading complex technology, risk, remediation, or transformation initiatives with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and competing priorities.
- Executive and Regulatory Communications: Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive presentations, governance materials, regulatory submissions, and stakeholder communications.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges, assess risks, and drive practical solutions through collaboration and data-driven decision making.
- Leadership and Execution: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach with the ability to drive delivery and accountability.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years proven experience managing complex technology, risk, regulatory, remediation, or transformation programs.
- Experience supporting interactions with regulators, regulatory examinations, remediation activities, and governance committees.
- Relevant financial services experience with an understanding of technology risk, regulatory expectations, and large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
