Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer for overnight property coverage in Edwards, Colorado. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment through routine patrols, observation, professional communication, and timely response to security concerns.

The right candidate should be comfortable handling stressful situations, communicating with individuals who may be upset or agitated, and remaining professional while following established procedures.

Pay: $26.50 per hour
Schedule: Friday - Sunday | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Primary Responsibilities

Property Security

• Conduct scheduled exterior patrols of the assigned property and surrounding grounds.
• Check parking areas, entrances, walkways, and other designated locations.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety hazards, property damage, or unusual conditions.
• Identify and report potential security concerns promptly.
• Follow established post orders and property-specific procedures.

Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, and security-related incidents.
• Use professional communication and verbal de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
• Remain calm when interacting with individuals who are upset, agitated, or displaying challenging behavior.
• Request assistance from supervisors or emergency personnel when additional support is necessary.
• Follow company policies and established response procedures during incidents.

Reporting & Communication

• Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Document security concerns, unusual activity, and significant events clearly and promptly.
• Provide relevant information to supervisors and designated site contacts.
• Maintain professional communication throughout each shift.
• Protect confidential information encountered while performing assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work Friday through Sunday overnight shifts.
• Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful encounters.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and post orders.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to successfully complete required company and client screening.
• Must successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check.
• Must have or be willing to obtain client-required vaccinations, where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• Experience handling difficult or emotionally heightened situations.
• Familiarity with verbal de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques.
• Previous experience completing activity logs and incident reports.
• Experience working in a public-facing or security-sensitive environment.
