  • Build strong working relationships with underwriting, product management, accounting, and other business partners to ensure actuarial insights are integrated into decision-making.

  • Partner with IT on the strategic development and enhancement of actuarial systems, tools, and processes.

  • Develop work plans, establish priorities and timelines, allocate resources, and ensure the team meets commitments and deadlines.

  • Communicate team results, trends, and recommendations to management through clear written reports and verbal presentations.

  • Drive improvements to actuarial processes and help identify, design, and implement new, efficient business practices.

  • Assist with development of the work unit budget and manage work within established financial objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures; identify, implement, and test effective controls for the actuarial function.

  • Provide full people leadership for direct reports, including hiring recommendations, training, work coordination, performance management, coaching, and development.

  • ACAS designation required; FCAS designation strongly preferred.

  • At least 6 years of progressive, relevant actuarial experience.

  • Broad knowledge of actuarial principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply sound professional judgment.

  • Demonstrated experience with actuarial performance analysis, pricing, loss ratios, expense analysis, and financial forecasting.

  • Strong leadership, planning, and project-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analysis and recommendations to management and non-actuarial partners.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with a focus on process improvement and effective business controls.

  • Awareness of industry trends, legal developments, and technical changes affecting the Company's lines of business.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and comfort with programming tools (Python a plus).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently across teams.
