The Role:
A major financial services organisation is looking for a Software Engineer to help modernise and enhance a business-critical trading platform used by front office teams.
This is a hands-on engineering role with genuine influence over technology direction, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale platform transformation, modern engineering practices, and cloud adoption within a fast-moving environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Deliver enhancements and new capability across a high-impact trading technology platform
- Design and build scalable applications, services and APIs using modern .NET technologies
- Contribute to architectural decisions and longer-term technology strategy
- Drive improvements around automation, resilience, performance and operational efficiency
- Partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions
- Support the migration of legacy applications towards modern cloud-native architectures
What You Bring:
- Strong software engineering capability across C# and .NET
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of API design and distributed application development
- Exposure to modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing
- Experience modernising or migrating legacy applications to current .NET platforms
- Cloud experience across AWS, GCP or similar enterprise cloud environments
The Package:
- Competitive base salary in the region of £120,000 - £135,000
