Who are we?

We're Standard Life, a retirement specialist focused entirely on retirement savings and income. We champion the belief that everyone's journey to and through retirement can be better, and for more than 200 years, we've been helping our customers plan and prepare for their financial futures.

Life today is increasingly complicated, uncertain and unpredictable. People move through different careers, face unexpected moments and navigate important choices. We make room for what matters - so you can bring your best, every day.

We are looking for an exceptional Personal Assistant to join our Executive Support community in London, providing high-quality support to senior leaders within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

This is more than a traditional PA role. You will become a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, helping them operate effectively in a complex and constantly evolving business. You will be part of a highly collaborative team where colleagues support one another, share knowledge and work together to deliver an outstanding service.

If you are organised, proactive, adaptable and thrive when no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you.

The role

You will provide comprehensive support to senior leaders, helping them make the best use of their time and ensuring priorities are managed effectively. Responsibilities will include:

  • Complex diary and calendar management

  • Coordinating meetings, events and leadership engagements

  • Co-ordination and management of UK and international travel, including complex itineraries and associated logistics and travel arrangements

  • Preparing and coordinating high-quality briefing materials and documentation, ensuring the leader has the information they need for key meetings and commitments

  • Supporting team and leadership meetings, including coordinating actions and follow-up activities

  • Managing expenses and administrative processes

  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholder across the business and with a range of external stakeholders

  • Managing competing priorities and responding effectively when plans or business requirements change

  • Anticipating needs, solving problems and ensuring leaders are set up for success

  • Providing wider business and administrative support as required

What we are looking for

  • Someone who has PA or Executive Assistant experience supporting senior stakeholders

  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly

  • Is highly organised and confident manging multiple and competing demands

  • Demonstrates excellent judgement, professionalism and discretion when handling confidential and business-sensitive information

  • Builds strong relationships and communicates confidently at all levels

  • Takes ownership, anticipates requirements and works proactively with minimal direction

  • Comfortable using their oven judgment to resolve day -to -day issues

  • Flexible in their approach and willing to support the wider team when needed

  • Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture

Our ways of working

This role requires a minimum of four days per week in our London office. Given the nature of the role and the stakeholders you will support, flexibility is important. There will be times when priorities change quickly, urgent requests arise, or additional office presence is needed to support leadership activities and key business events.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we've advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.

We're reviewing applications as they come in, so apply early to avoid missing out.
