Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Software Developer - Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). This role is focused on automating cloud infrastructure, modernizing deployment processes, and supporting enterprise Azure services. You'll work on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, API management, and cloud-native application deployments within an Agile environment.

Overview

We're seeking a Software Developer to join a high-performing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Infrastructure as Code, Azure cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.

You'll play a key role in designing, automating, and supporting enterprise cloud platforms by building scalable infrastructure, developing CI/CD pipelines, and enabling reliable application deployments. Working in a collaborative Agile environment, you'll help drive modernization initiatives while improving the performance, security, and reliability of mission-critical systems.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and automate Azure infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Build, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
  • Deploy and manage Azure App Services, Function Apps, SQL Databases, Key Vault, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, APIM, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Develop and deploy enterprise applications using C#/.NET.
  • Automate application deployments and infrastructure provisioning to improve scalability and reliability.
  • Build and support REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Analyze existing applications, reduce technical debt, and contribute to modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and platform teams to deliver secure, resilient cloud solutions.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience using C#/.NET.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience building Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and database development.
  • Experience supporting production environments and automating deployments.
  • Understanding of software architecture, secure coding practices, and object-oriented design.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
