This position is responsible for the direction and leadership of a Section in the Stakeholder Management Services (SMS) Department in the Southeast Region (SER) within the Environmental Services Global Practice. Areas of responsibility include Business Development, Project Management and general roles supporting the overall SMS Department and specific roles relative to the Section including the following, with other duties as assigned by senior management:
- Outstanding safety record on projects and proven attention to safety.
- Successful marketing efforts including development of clients and programs.
- Assist with and lead proposal efforts.
- Support and assist in the development of a Department business plan including development of forward-looking and growth strategies.
- Establish or review budgets and schedules for SMS related proposals.
- Ability to successfully manage all aspects of stakeholder management projects within the ENS Global Practice including understanding of project management tools.
- Experience with project management for a wide variety of client types (e.g., Utilities, O&G, Industrial, Local Government).
- Assist SMS Section staff with project setup, coordinating with the client/team, handling billing/invoicing, change orders, project closeout, etc.
- Advance and develop Department tools and workflows to increase efficiency of project execution.
- Demonstrate creativity, foresight and judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
- Monitor and maintain staffing levels, staffing loading, and staffing assignments to meet project requirements while maintaining chargeability goals for the Section.
- Set quality review assignments and perform quality reviews for SMS related projects.
- Assign work and review Section staff performance to ensure quality and efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
- Provide administrative, supervisory and technical direction for SMS Section personnel.
- Monitor progress on SMS related projects and provide input into areas of concern and direction to enhance achievement of project schedules, productivity goals, budgets, and quality.
- Serve as the technical advisor and provide senior-level input and evaluation of project development activities.
- Recruitment, career path development, training, mentoring, and retention of SMS Section personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, communications, public relations, urban planning, business administration or similar business discipline from accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years related professional experience in real estate/public involvement and/or project management.
- Experience must include experience related project scope definition and cost estimating of real estate/public involvement related projects.
- Must have a strong understanding of real estate and public involvement standards and regulatory.
- Position requires the ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
- Must possess strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Position requires 20% travel. Office hours must be reflective of personnel within the Section.
