Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking a Vice President-level Quantitative Strategist to join its Prime Brokerage business in New York. This individual will work directly with trading desks and business stakeholders to develop quantitative models, analytics, and decision-support tools focused on risk management, inventory optimization, financing activities, and balance sheet efficiency. The role offers significant front-office exposure and the opportunity to drive initiatives that have a direct impact on trading performance and business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance quantitative models, analytics, and decision-support tools supporting the Prime Brokerage business
- Build and maintain Python-based applications and libraries used by traders and front-office stakeholders
- Analyze large datasets to identify market trends, risk exposures, and business opportunities
- Apply statistical and optimization techniques to improve inventory utilization, financing efficiency, and balance sheet management
- Partner closely with trading, sales, and technology teams to deliver scalable quantitative solutions
- Develop reporting, visualization, and analytical frameworks to support front-office decision-making
- Drive multiple projects simultaneously and contribute to the broader quantitative strategy of the business
Requirements
- Experience in a Quantitative Strategist, Quantitative Analyst, Strats, or Quantitative Development role within a front-office environment
- Strong understanding of Prime Brokerage, Equity Financing, Delta One, Securities Lending, or related equity trading businesses
- Advanced Python programming skills with experience building production-quality analytical tools
- Strong background in mathematics, statistics, quantitative modeling, or optimization
- Experience partnering directly with traders and business stakeholders
- Knowledge of equity products and market structure
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Track record of delivering impactful quantitative solutions in a fast-paced environment
