Job summary
As a Senior Associate in the Card & Connected Commerce Controllers team, you will support accounting and reporting for the Chase credit card portfolio. You will calculate contractual compensation and deliver partner reporting for 12 co-branded card products, and support accounting and reporting for rewards and benefits across Chase-branded card portfolios. You will independently research variances, perform data mining, and review reports to ensure accurate and timely financial results. You will collaborate with product and finance leadership and advise on accounting implications and operational impacts for new and evolving card features and benefits.

Job summary
As a Senior Associate in the Card & Connected Commerce Controllers team, you will support accounting and reporting for the Chase credit card portfolio. You will calculate contractual compensation and deliver partner reporting for 12 co-branded card products, and support accounting and reporting for rewards and benefits across Chase-branded card portfolios. You will independently research variances, perform data mining, and review reports to ensure accurate and timely financial results. You will collaborate with product and finance leadership and advise on accounting implications and operational impacts for new and evolving card features and benefits.
Job responsibilities
- Support profit and loss reporting and month-end close activities across rewards expense, co-branded revenue sharing, card-linked offers, and card network fees
- Prepare balance sheet substantiation and support reconciliations, including accruals, deferred revenue, and intercompany activity
- Calculate contractual compensation and produce recurring partner reporting for co-branded card products
- Track and reconcile wire transfer activity totaling more than $1B per month
- Investigate drivers of variances by performing data mining and root-cause analysis
- Deliver detailed analytical reporting and clear narratives to business managers and senior finance leadership
- Partner with product stakeholders to assess accounting impacts of new and existing features and benefits
- Improve processes by designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable solutions that increase accuracy and efficiency
- Support internal control and regulatory reporting considerations through well-documented analysis and review
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or financial reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP), regulatory reporting, and internal control concepts
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurately under deadline
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail
- Experience preparing reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation
- Experience with an enterprise resource planning system and strong general ledger familiarity
- Experience supporting consumer credit card, rewards, or partner revenue-sharing programs
- Experience with Oracle and/or SAP (or similar enterprise resource planning platforms)
- Experience building scalable reporting solutions and process automation (for example, templates, controls, or workflow improvements)
- Comfort presenting insights and recommendations to senior finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience working with large transaction volumes and complex reconciliations
