Summary of Position

Join Natixis as a Senior Industry Banker, a pivotal and high-profile role responsible for spearheading the execution of our global Critical Metals and Minerals strategy. In this position, you will drive client relationship origination and execute complex, high-value transactions-specificallyoriginating and executing strategic transactions across M&A, Debt and Equity advisory, Structured Finance and Commoditiesin-house-across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

We expect you to possess strong, well-established relationships with senior executives and C-suite decision-makers at key client organizations within these target regions.

Beyond originating, leading, and elevating client relationships, you will be instrumental in generating lucrative cross-sell opportunities across a comprehensive suite of financial products. This includes corporate finance, Project Finance (under our Infrastructure and Energy Finance umbrella), debt and equity capital markets, global trade, leveraged finance, and global markets (such as FX, commodity and IRS hedging, ABS, and treasury). Consequently, extensive transaction experience, deep product knowledge across these areas, and a strong personal track record inoriginating and executing strategic transactionsare essential.

You must possess a proven track record of directlyoriginating and executing strategic transactions. While you will drive and originatethese strategic transactionsin-house, you will also collaborate seamlessly as needed with senior M&A professionals globally within Natixis, as well as with our premier boutique partners, such as Azure Capital.

More broadly, you will serve as the senior regional ambassador both internally and externally within the Americas for the critical metals and minerals sector. Your focus will be on strategic advisory, sophisticated content and idea generation, and the development of capital-efficient, balance-sheet-light solutions.

In this role, you will present balance-sheet proposals, credit reviews, and long-term strategic plans to executive management, collaborating with our global team to facilitate seamless deal execution.

Cultivating elite, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers is paramount, and you will foster similar collaborative partnerships within our global network. This role reports functionally to the Global Head of the Critical Metals and Minerals Industry Group based in Paris and locally to the Head of Energy Transition and Natural Resources Industry Group (ETNR), Americas (based in Houston).

As a senior leader within the global ETNR Industry Group, you will actively shape the group's broader strategy and daily operations by proposing innovative improvements, establishing best practices, and sharing collective market intelligence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Client Dialogue:Develop sophisticated strategic dialogues with core sector clients, generate unsolicited, high-impact pitch ideas, and directlyoriginate strategic transactions across M&A, Debt and Equity advisory, Structured Finance and Commodities.
  • Holistic Sector Coverage:Provide comprehensive sector coverage for allocated clients and prospects, driving the origination of all relevant Investment Banking and Global Markets products-including M&A Advisory, Project Finance, and Capital Markets-in close partnership with regional product bankers and aligned M&A boutiques where leverage is required.
  • Commercial Velocity:Increase commercial and marketing velocity for your client portfolio, championing multi-product pitches (with an emphasis on strategic M&A and advisory) to maximize client engagement and wallet share.
  • Sector Leadership:Provide decisive, sector-specific insights to guide major business, risk, and credit decisions.
  • Risk Management:Act as a highly diligent first line of defense for all clients and transactions under your direct or indirect purview.
  • Technical Excellence:Demonstrate and foster outstanding technical execution, market intellect, and elite presentation skills.
  • Talent Development:Mentor, inspire, and develop junior talent within the Advisory & Origination (A&O) teams and collaborating business lines.
  • Financial Accountability:Partner with the Global Head of Critical Metals and Minerals and the Head of ETNR, Americas to track, manage, and secure the timely achievement of budgeted fee targets, specifically prioritizing advisory and arranger fees.
  • Autonomous Execution:Operate with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision, while keeping executive management fully informed of material transaction and sector developments.
  • Committee Oversight:Oversee the timely, flawless, and high-quality submission of proposed transactions to internal business, credit, and management committees.

Qualifications
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or a related field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Industry Experience:A minimum of 12 years of overall investment banking experience, including at least 7 years of dedicated corporate finance and transaction experience with a proven, elite track record of directlyoriginating and executing strategic transactions across M&A, Debt and Equity advisory, Structured Finance and Commodities, alongside Project Finance transactions in the metals and mining sector at major financial institutions.
  • Client Development:Demonstrated success in originating and expanding key client relationships, with a focus on delivering strategic in-house advisory andstrategic transactions within the metals, mining, and critical minerals space.
  • Global Acumen:Proven ability to navigate, integrate, and leverage complex local and global strategic frameworks, particularly in cross-border transactions.
  • Strategic Thinking:A highly strategic, entrepreneurial, and open-minded thinker with a passion for creative problem-solving and identifying untapped market opportunities.
  • Communication Skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execution Under Pressure:Proven ability to manage multi-transaction pipelines, perform under tight deadlines, and adapt swiftly to a fast-paced, dynamic market.
  • Technical Competence:Advanced expertise in valuation, credit analysis, complex financial modeling, contract documentation, due diligence, and overall in-houseexecution of M&A, Debt and Equity advisory, Structured Finance and Commodities.
  • Drive and Attitude:A self-motivated, results-oriented professional with a strong collective team spirit and a commitment to excellence.
  • Licensing:Active Series 7, 63, and 79 securities licenses are required.

The salary range for this position will be between $270,000 - $380,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance
