Head of Deposits - Remote USA
A rapidly growing financial services organization is seeking a Head of Deposits to lead deposit growth, strategic relationship management, and market expansion initiatives. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive new deposit acquisition, deepen institutional relationships, and strengthen the organization's funding and liquidity position.
This role requires an executive with a proven track record of building large-scale deposit gathering initiatives, developing strategic partnerships, and driving growth across institutional, commercial, public sector, wealth, treasury, or financial intermediary channels.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national growth strategy focused on deposit acquisition and long-term funding growth.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with institutional investors, corporate treasury groups, financial intermediaries, municipalities, and other deposit-generating channels.
- Expand existing relationships while developing new sources of stable and diversified deposits.
- Partner with executive leadership to support liquidity, balance sheet, and growth objectives.
- Build strategic partnerships that increase market penetration and accelerate deposit inflows.
- Lead business development efforts with senior decision-makers across financial institutions, corporations, government entities, and advisory firms.
- Establish KPIs, pipeline reporting, and forecasting processes tied to deposit growth and relationship expansion.
- Stay abreast of market trends, interest rate dynamics, and competitive developments impacting deposit gathering and liquidity management.
Ideal Background
- 12+ years of experience in deposit gathering, treasury management, transaction banking, cash management, commercial banking, wealth management, institutional sales, or financial services business development.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and growing large-scale deposit balances across institutional, corporate, public sector, or intermediary channels.
- Strong network across treasury, banking, wealth, fintech, and institutional markets.
- Experience developing strategic partnerships that drive funding or deposit growth.
- Proven ability to engage C-suite executives, treasury leaders, CFOs, investment committees, and institutional decision-makers.
- Experience scaling growth initiatives within banking, fintech, cash management, liquidity, or related financial services organizations.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing business development or commercial teams.
