Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Senior QA Test Lead (Oracle Forms, Reports & Database) to be responsible for defining and leading the quality assurance strategy to assess testing impacts associated with UTF-8 database conversion and Indigenous Language name requirements for key government registers, develop testing strategies and effort estimates, identify quality risks and technical dependencies, and oversee validation activities across Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, databases, integrations, and dependant applications.

Responsibilities:

Proof of Concept Phase:
• Assess testing impacts associated with UTF-8 database conversion and Indigenous Language name support across Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, databases, integrations, and related satellite systems.
• Develop the overall testing and validation strategy for database conversion, application changes, system integrations, and downstream partner impacts.
• Identify testing dependencies, quality risks, data remediation requirements, and mitigation strategies associated with the proposed solution options.
• Assess data quality, data conversion, reconciliation, and validation requirements to ensure data integrity throughout the migration process.
• Conduct application testing as required.
• Develop testing effort estimates, resource requirements, schedules, environments, and implementation assumptions to support project planning and decision-making.
• Contribute to the evaluation of solution options, implementation recommendations, and the final decision record.

Post-PoC Implementation Phase
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and test execution schedules.
• Lead and coordinate system, integration, regression, user acceptance, data migration, and production validation testing activities.
• Validate UTF-8 conversion, Indigenous Language name functionality, alternate spellings, mononyms, reporting outputs, certificates, and downstream system integrations.
• Coordinate defect management, triaging, test reporting, quality metrics, and implementation readiness assessments.
• Support deployment planning, production cutover, post-implementation validation, and stabilization activities.
• Produce testing completion reports, lessons learned, and implementation readiness recommendations.
