A leading quantitative trading firm is seeking an experienced C# Software Engineer to join its Core Trading Technology team. The group is responsible for building and maintaining business-critical applications that support trading, market data, analytics and real-time messaging across a front-office environment.
The role offers the opportunity to work on highly scalable, real-time systems alongside traders, researchers and some of the industry's strongest engineers.
Responsibilities- Design and develop high-performance applications using C# and .NET.
- Build scalable, resilient and highly available systems.
- Deliver projects across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to production deployment.
- Work closely with traders, researchers and other technology teams to solve complex business problems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous platform improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and help drive engineering best practices.
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong C# and .NET development experience.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, multithreading and concurrency.
- Experience building server-side, distributed or real-time applications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- WPF or other desktop application development.
- Linux and deploying .NET applications in production environments.
- Event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
- Exposure to market data, trading systems or financial markets.
