A top-tier quantitative trading firm is hiring a Python Engineer to join a core engineering team supporting research and live trading.
This is a hybrid role combining software engineering with SRE-style ownership, you’ll be responsible not just for building systems, but ensuring they run reliably in production.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and improving core research infrastructure
- Developing scalable Python systems for data and modelling workflows
- Owning production systems (monitoring, reliability, performance)
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in live trading environments
- Working closely with researchers to support strategy development
What they’re looking for
- Strong Python in distributed systems
- Comfortable owning production (SRE / reliability mindset)
- Linux experience + debugging in live environments
- Experience with large datasets
- Strong problem-solving and ownership
