Senior Network Engineer | Leading Trading Firm | Sydney (Other Global Offices Considered)
One of the world’s leading trading firms is hiring a hands-on Senior Network Engineer in Sydney. You’d own the infrastructure behind all of the firm’s trading and non-trading activity across APAC.
You’ll work on
- End-to-end APAC data centre deployments, including network and security platforms
- A complex international LAN/WAN, plus campus networks
- Multi-zone, multi-tier firewall architecture across APAC
- Arista and Cisco, all managed as Infrastructure as Code
- Automating, monitoring and benchmarking for reliability, capacity and latency
This is for you if
- You have 10+ years as a senior network engineer or architect, with proven on-box experience
- You’ve designed, built and supported data centre, LAN and WAN environments
- You’ve worked on low-latency networks
- You manage networks as code, not just from the CLI
- You’re comfortable administering Unix systems
Bonus: experience at a trading firm, market maker, hedge fund, investment bank or exchange. Colocation, exchange connectivity, multicast and PTP are also a plus.
