About the Role

Our client, a leading insurance company, is seeking an experienced Investment Risk Manager to join its Risk Management team. This role is responsible for providing independent oversight and challenge on investment activities, ensuring investment decisions are aligned with the company's risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and governance framework.

1. Perform independent risk assessments on new investment initiatives, investment strategies, products, and projects from an investment risk perspective.
2. Review and challenge investment proposals, providing recommendations to investment and senior management committees.
3. Monitor investment portfolio risks across key asset classes and ensure compliance with internal risk limits, policies, and regulatory requirements.
4. Prepare risk reports, analysis, and risk opinions for senior management, risk committees, and other governance forums.
5. Partner closely with Investment, Finance, Actuarial, and Compliance teams to identify and mitigate emerging investment risks.
6. Support the enhancement of investment risk frameworks, methodologies, stress testing, and risk monitoring tools.

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
2. Proven experience in Investment Risk Management , Asset Management, Market Risk, ALM, or a similar function within the insurance or financial services industry.
3. Strong understanding of fixed income, equities, alternative investments, and investment risk concepts.
4. Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.
5. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
6. Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) .
