Job Title: Legal Counsel / Asset Management - Cross Border Lending and Investment
Location: Central, Hong Kong
Key Responsibilities
- Independently review the Company’s transaction projects and prepare written review comments, including identifying and flagging legal risks. This covers, but is not limited to:
- Cross-border acquisition and disposal transactions
- Equity and debt-related transactions
- Other corporate transaction matters
- Independently negotiate, review, and finalize various transaction documents in both Chinese and English.
- Select and manage external legal counsel, establish an effective communication mechanism with external lawyers, and maintain/optimize a centralized lawyer resource database, including participation in lawyers’ routine performance evaluations.
- Assist in dispute resolution, including handling procedures such as litigation, mediation, arbitration, and takeover-related processes.
- Handle other legal compliance matters assigned by the Company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (full-time) or above, with 3+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house corporate legal work.
- Strong English / Chinese reading and writing skills; strong adaptability and communication & collaboration abilities; ability to respond to unexpected situations; excellent legal drafting skills, including drafting and reviewing a wide range of cross-border contracts and legal documents.
- Hong Kong law license or other common-law jurisdiction qualification preferred.
