Our client is a well-invested start-up that is investing heavily in AI-powered digital products and data-driven innovation. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and machine learning solutions that support both customer-facing products and internal business operations initiatives.

Your new role

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions to support digital products and business initiatives.
• Partner with technology teams, business stakeholders and external partners to identify AI use cases, translate them into scalable solutions, and participate in project implementation.
• Build predictive, recommendation, classification, NLP, and LLM models where applicable.
• Conduct data exploration, feature engineering, model training, validation, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines and model deployment frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches to enhance product capabilities.
• Communicate analytical findings from customer engagements and provide technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure AI solutions are developed in accordance with governance, security, and responsible AI best practices.
• Participate in mentoring junior data scientists and analysts and contribute to the advancement of data science capabilities within the organization.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI-related roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or containerization technologies is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, predictive modelling, and data analysis techniques, with exposure to NLP and LLMs.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment and comfortable working in a start-up setting.
• Proficient in spoken and written English. Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) would be an advantage.
• Currently based in Hong Kong with valid working rights.
