An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing international energy and trading business as a Financial Analyst. This role is ideal for an early-career finance professional who wants to gain broad exposure across finance operations while developing the analytical skills needed to become a strategic finance business partner in the future.

The Role
You will initially support core finance and operational activities, gaining a deep understanding of the business and financial processes. As the organization continues to grow, the role is expected to evolve into a more commercially focused and analytical position with greater involvement in financial planning, reporting, and business performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and financial reporting activities
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for internal stakeholders
• Monitor financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and business partners as required
• Assist in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
• Support ad hoc financial and business analysis projects

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or related functions
• Strong interest in developing a career in financial analysis and business partnering
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent-level Japanese and English proficiency
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems are advantageous
