A leading Global Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Multi-Product FICC Sales Associate to join its Global Markets Front Office team in Tokyo.

This position focuses on Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) Sales, covering a diverse range of financial products, including Foreign Exchange (FX), Interest Rates, Credit, Commodities, and Derivatives.

You will be responsible for providing multi-asset financial market solutions to Japanese financial institutions, developing strong client relationships, and identifying opportunities across flow and derivative products.

Working within an established and stable Global Markets Sales team, you will collaborate with institutional clients and internal trading teams to deliver relevant financial products and market solutions.

The role offers an opportunity to expand your expertise across FX Sales, Rates Sales, Credit Sales, Commodities Sales, and Derivatives Sales, while strengthening your career in the front office of a global investment bank.

This position is ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of Rates, Credit, or FX Sales experience within an investment bank or corporate bank in Japan who are looking to develop broader multi-product coverage.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide FICC sales coverage to Japanese financial institutions, focusing on institutional client relationships and financial market solutions.
• Market and sell flow and derivative products across Foreign Exchange (FX), Interest Rates, Credit, and Commodities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Japanese institutional clients, understanding their investment, trading, and risk management requirements.
• Identify client opportunities across multiple FICC asset classes and propose appropriate financial products.
• Support the delivery of FX, Rates, Credit, and Commodities solutions based on client objectives and market conditions.
• Collaborate with Global Markets trading desks and relevant internal stakeholders to support client transactions.
• Communicate relevant market developments, product information, and trading opportunities to institutional clients.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding financial products, market conditions, and potential transaction opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate efficient execution and delivery of client solutions.
• Develop an understanding of client requirements across flow trading and derivative products.
• Support relationship development and business growth within the Japanese financial institutions market.
• Maintain effective communication with domestic clients and international stakeholders in a global banking environment.
• Contribute to the team's broader multi-product FICC sales strategy and client coverage activities.
• Conduct client-facing activities in accordance with applicable internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Rates, Credit, or FX Sales experience within an investment bank or corporate bank based in Japan.
• Practical knowledge of at least one of the following financial markets: Interest Rates, Credit, or Foreign Exchange (FX).
• Experience working in a financial markets sales or client-facing banking environment.
• Understanding of financial products and the requirements of institutional banking clients.
• Ability to communicate financial market information and product characteristics clearly to clients.
• Experience working with internal stakeholders to support client relationships and financial product sales.
• Familiarity with the Japanese banking and financial services market.

• Knowledge of FX derivatives, interest rate derivatives, credit products, or commodities markets.
• Experience selling both flow products and derivative solutions.
• Familiarity with institutional sales, Global Markets Front Office operations, and trading desk collaboration.
• Exposure to multiple FICC asset classes beyond an initial specialization in Rates, Credit, or FX.
• Experience working in an international banking environment.
• Strong understanding of the Japanese institutional financial markets landscape.
