Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate / quote new and renewal business within delegated authority limits, Company's guidelines, local regulations, to achieve profitable growth.
- Develop ongoing relationship with intermediaries which includes development and growing the business
- Identify sales, market trends and appetite, and business opportunities together with Distribution colleagues.
- Provide technical support to our Distribution colleagues.
- Provides technical assessment, including conducting risks survey where necessary
- Assist underwriting manager to identify and improve underwriting processes.
Line of business includes (but not limited to) Property, Liability, Work Injury Compensation, and General Accident Classes of Insurance
Job Requirement:
- Minimum Diploma / Professional Insurance qualification
- 2 years or more of relevant working experience in Commercial Lines insurance
- Actively pursuing professional insurance designations such as ACII/AAII or equivalent designation preferred
- Thorough knowledge of commercial lines product and contract language which includes regulatory and policy difference
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to work with multi-faceted systems
- Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgement
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships, and must also exemplify teamwork
