Job Description

An international private bank is looking for a Senior Compliance Officer within a Swiss-based advisory team, responsible for supporting adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee governance and regulatory frameworks for external asset managers and introducers across the full lifecycle (onboarding, risk assessment, monitoring, termination)
Ensure compliance with Swiss AML regulations and standards
Conduct client exposure checks to identify and mitigate financial crime risks
Manage account openings and periodic KYC reviews in line with regulatory requirements
Advise client-facing teams on AML/CTF matters
Perform risk assessments, thematic reviews, and in-depth analyses
Contribute to compliance projects and support implementation efforts
Assist management with ad hoc compliance initiatives

Requirements

Degree in law, economics, or related field (or equivalent compliance qualification)
8+ years' experience in financial crime compliance within a Swiss banking environment
Strong knowledge of AML regulations and client onboarding/KYC processes
Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach with sound judgment
Ability to manage priorities and perform under pressure
Fluency in English and French (additional languages are a plus)
