Java Full Stack Developer | 12-Month Contract

Location: Glasgow (onsite)

Start: ASAP

We're looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer for a 12-month contract building scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications in an agile team.

What you'll be doing

Designing and building full stack applications with Java, Spring Boot and React or Angular

Developing secure, scalable microservices and REST APIs

Working with cloud-native technologies on AWS

Collaborating with architects, BAs and stakeholders

Code reviews, testing, performance tuning and production support

What you'll need

Strong Java 17+ and Spring Boot experience

Microservices architecture

React or Angular, plus JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3

Kafka

Docker and Kubernetes

SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL)

CI/CD (Git, Jenkins) and monitoring/observability tools

Nice to have

Banking or financial services experience

OAuth2/JWT and API security

Terraform or CloudFormation

Event-driven architecture
