Marshall Wace seek Eastern promise
Marshall Wace, a $7bn (3.8bn) London hedge fund firm, is opening a new office in Hong Kong.
The Financial Times reports that the fund is launching its 'Tops' trading system in Asia, which examines and ranks analysts' recommendations and invests accordingly.
It also plans to launch a traditional Asian long-short equity fund in the next 12 months. It isn't clear whether the fund plans to hire.
