18-year Goldman veteran joins Standard Chartered in Singapore
Veteran Goldman Sachs technologist Jamie Pizzorno has joined Standard Chartered in Singapore as head of trust and resiliency change, adoption and onboarding.
We first reported Pizzorno’s departure from Goldman in January, and he has now announced his new employer via a LinkedIn post. Pizzorno is also building a “new cybersecurity stakeholder engagement and management function” at Stan Chart.
Standard Chartered already bases many of its senior cybersecurity staff in Singapore, and made several key appointments last year, including Lavy Shtokhamer as head if its cyber defense centre (he’s since become global head, cyber defence and threat management). In 2021, it also hired Jerome Walter as chief information security officer for its new digital bank, and took on Emilie Wolff Nguyen as head of tech and cyber security, business risk.
As we noted in January, cybersecurity recruitment is booming in Singapore, but banks are facing local talent shortages and are bringing in specialists from overseas like Pizzorno to fill some of the more senior jobs.
Pizzorno joined Goldman in 2003 and worked for the bank in Tokyo, New York and London. He was latterly an executive director and senior engineer at the US firm, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Writing on LinkedIn as he joined Stan Chart earlier this month, Pizzorno said: “I will continue to champion diversity and inclusion as a proud, out, gay man, and look forward to ensuring that all LGBTQ+ people are considered and included as an integral part of the larger diversity discussion.”
