Deutsche Bank is also hiring for its US equities trading team, amidst departures

We reported yesterday that Deutsche Bank's US equity capital markets (ECM) bankers are thriving amidst a rush of hiring. That hiring is not restricted to ECM. DB has been quietly adding equities sales traders too.

Deutsche Bank isn't commenting, but we understand the German bank has made at least two hires for its US equities sales trading business, both of whom are due to arrive soon.

They are: Philip Puccio, a director in equity sales trading at DNB Carnegie whose career began in 1991; and Christopher Krieg, an MD in sales trading at BNP Paribas.

Neither Puccio nor Krieg responded to a request to comment. It's thought that Krieg, in particular, will help build out the US business.

While Puccio and Krieg are arriving, Deutsche is also experiencing departures. UK brokerage firm Peel Hunt hired Paul Treacy and Corey Towell from Deutsche in July. Both worked for Numis and migrated to Deutsche. Treacy was Numis's head of international sales trading and can also be expected to build out the business when he arrives at Peel Hunt.
