Where is Hamid Latreche? Seemingly not at SocGen.

The French bank isn't commenting but Latreche appears to have left the French bank after joining from BNP Paribas in June 2025. Latreche himself didn't respond to a request to comment for this article, but his Linkedn profile says he's "seeking new challenges."

Latreche's registration with the Singapore Monetary Authority suggests he may not have officially joined SocGen. He was last registered as working for BNP Paribas from 2018 to 2024. Latreche spent nearly 24 years at BNP in total after working his way out of the bank's operations team.

It's not clear what Latreche plans to do next but during an 11 month career break before joining SocGen, he was an advisor to a skincare website founded by a former BNP FX trader. There, Latreche says he learned about AI, e-commerce and skincare, so the possibilities are manifold.
