The Coffee Run: Is Goldman Sachs really drinking the SpaceX Kool-Aid?

We've launched a new weekly video series to accompany Morning Coffee, in which we look at one story in more depth to give you the full picture.

The SpaceX IPO is finally here and it went... pretty well. The current price (as of ~1:30 New York time) is $174, up 28.8%.

It has been a long road to reach this point for the bankers involved in orchestrating the initial public offering, and there's a long way to go until Goldman Sachs, which had lead left position, can call the IPO an unequivocal success. Goldman and the other banks had pretty wild predictions for SpaceX's future revenue potential, and if the market starts to doubt those claims, SpaceX investors could be in for a rude awakening.

Watch the video below to see how Goldman "won" top position on the IPO, and the implications if SpaceX's stock price either continues its solid momentum or falters before lockup periods expire.
