Scotiabank hired a tough new sales head in New York

Toussaint Davis joined Scotiabank last week as an MD and head of its emerging markets international sales team. He joined the Canadian bank from Morgan Stanley in New York, where he was also an emerging markets sales MD. Neither Davis nor Scotiabank responded to a request for comment.
Davis has some interesting hobbies. He raised over $20k for “Haymakers for Hope”, a charity that organises boxing matches between amateurs to raise money for charity. His profile on the Haymakers for Hope website lists him as 6’5” (196cm) and 220lbs (100kg), making him a particularly tough cookie – around the same size as a young Lennox Lewis.
Davis won his fight in Haymakers for Hope by unanimous vote against Reed Edmiston, a management consultant at media and marketing consultancy Medialink back in 2019.
Davis is also a client of BULLRING, a performance & physical coaching company based in London that deals with “modern alpha males”, offering “power with perspective”, in its own words. “High performers often push forward relentlessly, ignoring the red flags and derailing their chances of sustainable success,” the firm’s literature says.
