IT Security Specialist - Financial Services / 40k to 70k
I am currently helping our Client seeking an IT Security Specialist to join the team in Hong Kong.
Your role:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to support the research, design, procurement, implementation, operationalization, and optimization of cybersecurity solutions, including new deployments and system revamps.
- Engage in the system development lifecycle (SDLC), covering architecture and infrastructure design, technical requirements, operational documentation, testing, user training, maintenance, and support.
- Contribute to system integration efforts, providing administration, support, and troubleshooting for cybersecurity systems.
- Create, develop, and maintain security orchestration and automation.
- Lead the design and deployment of AI-enabled security automation and analyst support capabilities.
- Develop and maintain system operating procedures, including backup and disaster recovery plans, vulnerability management, patching, system maintenance, monitoring, and auditing.
- Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents, conduct vulnerability assessments, support penetration testing, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with technical vendors and internal teams to ensure compliance and effective implementation of security solutions.
- Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to facilitate the successful deployment and adoption of cybersecurity measures.
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, operations, solution implementation, or related technology projects; more experienced candidates may qualify for senior or managerial roles.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying cybersecurity solutions such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Secret Management Tools, Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR); familiarity with AI and machine learning is a plus.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISP, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of IT security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, DPO IT Security Policy, and Chinese Cybersecurity Law.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, including operating systems, databases, networks, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand, visualize, analyze, and resolve complex security issues.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and DevSecOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Practical experience in system deployment and operations, including system hardening, vulnerability management, patching, architecture design, and infrastructure setup.
