As Investor Relationship Manager, you own the post-commitment investor experience end to end. You are the primary point of contact for assigned investor accounts, responsible for maintaining trust, ensuring clear and timely communication, and delivering a consistently high-quality investor experience across the full investment lifecycle — from onboarding through ongoing engagement to follow-on capital discussions.
You work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Operations to coordinate investor materials, reporting, and follow-through. You bring structure, responsiveness, and a professional presence capable of engaging confidently with senior institutional counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relationship Management- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned investor accounts across the full investment lifecycle.
- Act as the first point of contact for investor questions, requests, escalations, and follow-ups.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships through consistent, proactive, and high-quality communication.
- Manage investor onboarding, ensuring smooth account setup, documentation, and initial engagement.
- Anticipate investor needs and address concerns before they escalate.
- Coordinate and deliver recurring investor updates, performance reports, and dashboards on schedule.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all investor-facing materials and communications.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into accessible, investor ready narratives.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date investor data rooms and documentation libraries.
- Support ongoing and follow-on capital raises by coordinating investor materials, Q&A processes, and data requests.
- Manage investor Q&A during due diligence, ensuring accurate, well structured, and timely responses.
- Coordinate with Legal and Finance to maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance with investor commitments.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Legal to gather inputs for investor materials and reporting.
- Track and close all open investor requests, data room items, and ad-hoc analyses — nothing falls through the cracks.
- Ensure full follow-through on commitments made to investors.
- Identify recurring investor questions and proactively improve reporting processes to reduce friction over time.
- Maintain structured records of all investor interactions, requests, and key discussion points in the CRM.
- Continuously improve investor communication templates, reporting processes, and documentation standards.
- Monitor investor satisfaction and flag risks or concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of experience in investor relations, account management, client coverage, or wealth and asset management, with strong client-facing exposure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to explain complex financial and strategic topics clearly and confidently.
- Solid analytical foundation and comfort working with financial data, performance metrics, and reporting dashboards.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of structured followthrough on multiple concurrent accounts.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint / Google Slides and Excel / Google Sheets; familiarity with data room tools (e.g., Notion, Google Drive, Datasite) is a plus.
- Experience in real estate, proptech, private equity, or impact investing is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
