UBS boosts equities team
UBS is boosting its Hong Kong market-access desk in Asia.
Joe Cavatoni, Asian head of equity swaps in Hong Kong told the private banking news site WealthBriefing.com, "This is as a result of increased business - we need more bodies out here."
The business has already transferred Anita Daryanani, director on the securities lending desk in New York, to the equity swaps and access products team in Hong Kong. Cavatoni says a few additional hires are set to join the desk as more clients including hedge funds look for exposure to such markets as China, India and Taiwan.
